The Team
- Shane Morrison BVSc CertSAS MRCVS, Principal Vet
- Shane graduated from the University of Melborne with first class honours in 1991. He has since obtained the CertSAS, a postgraduate qualification in small animal surgery, awarded to fewer than 15 vets in Britain each year. This allows him to undertake more involved procedures including spinal surgery, complicated orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery. Shane has been living and working as a vet in East Anglia for the past ten years. Shane and Charlotte have two sons, Cameron and Finlay. They also have two Border Terriers "Bunyip" and "Wonga", two cats "Yothu" and "Yindi" as well as the surgery cat "Nellie".
- Marilet Hebler BVSc MRCVS, Veterinary Surgeon
- Marilet joined the team in 2003. Marilet graduated from Pretoria in 2000. Marilet has a little girl and another on the way! She mainly deals with the First Opinion side of the practice.
- John Prior MA VetMB Cert SAO MRCVS, Veterinary Surgeon
- John joined us during 2006. John ran his own Surgical Referral Practice in Northampton for 20 years. He originally came from the Ipswich area and has now decided to return. John has huge experience in the area of Orthopaedics, he has undertaken many complicated procedures including Canine Total Hip Replacements on a regular basis for many years.
- Rachel Jones MA VetMB MRCVS, Veterinary Surgeon
- Rachel joined the team in 2005, she qualified in 1998 from Cambridge University. Rachel deals with the First Opinion side of the practice, she is very caring and gentle with the patients.
- Charlotte Morrison VN, Veterinary Nurse
- Charlotte is a qualified Veterinary Nurse with 12 years experience. She is also trained as an Advanced Pet Health Counsellor which enables her to run puppy parties and weight clinics as well as give advice on general dietary requirements, worming and flea treatment, and managing the older pet. All of these services are free of charge.
- Sarah Moss VN Dip AVN (Surgical), Veterinary Nurse
- Sarah is a qualified Veterinary Nurse with 19 years experience. She has spent many years working at The Queens Veterinary School Hospital where she gained her surgical diploma. This is the highest qualification that a Veterinary Nurse can obtain.
- Kathryn Pett VN, Veterinary Nurse
- Kathryn is a qualified Veterinary Nurse who grew up in the Ipswich area. She is a dedicated nurse who takes great pleasure in nursing patients back to good health, and is now studying for her Surgical Diploma. Kathryn has a lurcher (who's very mad!) and a rabbit.
- Nicola Thompson VN, Veterinary Nurse
- Nicky is a qualified Veterinary Nurse who joined the team in 2005. Nicky is very interested in the Surgical side of the practice and oversees the smooth running of the theatres.
- Andrea Clarkson VN, Veterinary Nurse
- Andrea is a qualified Veterinary Nurse who has joined us recently in 2006. Andrea is really enjoying the challenge of working in a referral practice, she particularly enjoys taking care of the in patients ensuring that they receive plenty of TLC!
- Rita Singleton, Reception Supervisor

Rita has been with us since 2002 after having 5 years experience with the Ambulance
service. Rita has three Chihuahuas, a Jack Russell and a rabbit.
Rita Singleton - Liz Burgess, Receptionist
- Liz joined the team in 2003 after working for many years in the caring profession.
- Jan Bostock, Receptionist
- Jan joined the team in 2004 after being a voluntary helper at the Cats Protection League. Needless to say, Jan is a cat lover with a house full of waifs and strays that she has taken-in over the years.
- Julie Eley, Receptionist
- Julie joined the team in 2005. Julie has a young mad Labrador and she has just taken on a Lhasa Apso; they keep her very busy!
- Rachael Gotts, Receptionist
- Rachael joined the team in 2006. Rachael has a mad Labrador! and loves animals.
