Canine Total Elbow Replacement
This procedure is suitable for dogs weighing over 20kg with severe elbow arthritis. The procedure involves removing the joint components of the arthritic elbow and replacing them with an artificial titanium and polyethylene elbow joint (Biomedtrix CFX).
The procedure is a relatively recent innovation compared with Total Hip Replacement.
